Deck
Deck is an aluminium decking system you build yourself. Every part arrives cut, drilled and flat packed. One person with a drill can build a deck, floor, landing or platform in an afternoon.
Features
- Every part arrives cut and drilled from the factory, ready to bolt together.
- Aluminium lasts a lifetime: rot proof, rust proof, termite proof and non-combustible.
- One system for decks, floors, landings and spa platforms, rated to 4.0 kilopascals.

Permits and Approvals
Terraform Deck sits under 100 millimetres off the ground, which in most states is well below the height at which a deck needs a building permit. Rules vary, and your local council has the final say. It is the installer's responsibility to meet local codes and obtain any permits.

Questions
How long does it take to build?
4 to 8 hours, depending on the size and how many people are on it. One person can build a Small on their own, and 2 people make the Large quicker and easier.
Do I need a builder?
You can build it yourself. Every part is pre-cut, pre-drilled and labelled, and the kit ships with printed instructions. Any builder can also have it done in half a day.
What tools do I need?
An 18 volt drill, a hammer, a tape measure, gloves, and eye and ear protection. Every part arrives cut to size, so you can leave the saw at home.
Will it hold an outdoor setting?
Yes. The frame is designed to a 4.0 kilopascal live load, roughly 400 kilograms per square metre. In test it held 1,800 kilograms over 2 square metres for 10 minutes.
How long will it last?
The aluminium frame lasts a lifetime: rot proof, rust proof and warp proof. The warranty is 10 years. Boards are a wear item, and you can replace them while the frame stays in place.
Do I need a permit?
Usually not at this height, but it depends on your council, the location and what is around it. Start with the state links above and confirm with your council. Footings should be designed and certified by a civil engineer.
Can I get a custom size?
3 standard sizes keep every part identical and the price low. They bolt together into larger footprints, so a 6 × 3 metre deck is 2 Larges.
Which boards come with it?
Composite boards with recycled content, cut to length, with the clips and edge trim to fix them. Prefer hardwood? The bracket spacing suits standard board fixings.
Can it go against steel?
Yes, when the steel is galvanised or powder coated, since bare steel corrodes against aluminium. Every screw in the kit is galvanised for exactly that reason.
